University of Pennsylvania
My name is Jon J.W. Yoon, MD, MSc, FAANS. I am a neurosurgeon who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery. I work at the University of Pennsylvania, and currently serve as the director of minimally invasive spine surgery and the co-director of spine fellowship. My passion is to treat patients using the most cutting-edge minimally invasive techniques so that they can return to their normal level of activities as soon as possible. I also lead a translational lab that focuses on investigating novel ways to measure and track surgical outcomes as well as to develop novel surgical devices and perform biomechanical studies. At the University of Pennsylvania, we are training the next generation of future leaders in spine surgery by exposing our trainees to variety of spine pathologies as well as to stimulate their research interest in basic science as well as in clinical and translational research work.
