Sigurd Berven MD is Professor in Residence in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UC San Francisco. He completed his medical school at Harvard Medical School and residency training in the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Program. His Fellowship in Spine Surgery was at UC San Francisco, and he has been on the faculty at UCSF for the past 25 years. His clinical interests are in adult deformity and complex spine reconstruction, and his research interests include clinical outcomes research and predictive modeling in spine surgery.
