Dr. David Polly is Professor and Chief of Spine Surgery, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Minnesota. He holds the James W. Ogilvie Professorship and the Catherine Mills Davis endowed chair for Biomechanical Research. He is a Professor (W) in the Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Polly is a past president of the Scoliosis Research Society.
Dr. Polly graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, went to medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, did internship and residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, spine fellowship at the University of Minnesota and was Chief of Spine Surgery and then Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabiltation at Walter Reed Army Medical Center prior to his retirement from the Army after 24.5 years of service.
Dr. Polly has particular expertise in pediatric and adult spine deformity as well as spinopelvic fixation and the sacroiliac joint.
