Dan Riew is Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in the Neurosurgery Dept of Weill Cornell Medicine and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery in the Dept of Orthopedic Surgery of Columbia University, Co-Director of Och Spine, Weill-Cornell Medical Center and Co-Director of the Columbia University Spine Fellowship. His practice is exclusively limited to the operative treatment of cervical spine disorders. He has published over 350 peer-reviewed papers. He has received multiple outstanding research paper awards from the Cervical Spine Research Society, the North American Spine Society, as well as the Scoliosis Research Society. He has served as a visiting professor, grand rounds speaker, key or named lecturer over 100 times in over 20 countries and has given hundreds of other invited lectures. He has served as President of the Cervical Spine Research Society and AOSpine. He is a Deputy or Associate Editor of the Global Spine Journal, Spine, European Spine Journal, and Neurosurgery journals.
