    Seth Coomer, PhD

    Dr. Seth Coomer, PhD, joined Medical Metrics Inc. (MMI) in 2023 as post-doctoral researcher after completing his PhD in biomedical engineering at the Unviersity of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Coomer has a passion for biomechanics, medical devices, and medical imaging. After completing his dissertation entitled The Development and Enhancement of a Forward Mathematical Model of the Human Knee Joint, Dr. Coomer transitioned his focus of research to the spine. At MMI he began working on an award winning AI tool which automates spinal measurements and assists in clinical decision making. At Spine Summit 2025, his talk will highlight the validation of this automated technology and the impact that it may have for spine surgeons.
