John Lama, MS, is a second-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he is currently working as a research assistant with the Minimally Invasive Spine Group at the Hospital for Special Surgery. John earned his bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed his master’s in Bioengineering with a concentration in Biodesign at Stanford University. He is passionate about working at the intersection of orthopedic medical device innovation and patient care. In his free time, John enjoys swimming and running in Central Park.
