Aditya Vedantam is an Associate Professor in Neurosurgery and adjunct faculty in Orthopedics, Radiology and Biomedical Engineering at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI. He serves as the Director of Minimally-Invasive Spine Surgery and the Director of the Center for Cervical Myelopathy.
In addition to his clinical practice which encompasses degenerative, traumatic and neoplastic spine disease, Dr. Vedantam has a robust research portfolio. He leads a NIH-funded research lab with three broad areas of research: advanced MRI for degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM), patient-specific finite element modeling of the cervical spinal cord for DCM and novel rehabilitation techniques for recovery of function after surgery for DCM. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts.
