Mr. Luke Jouppi is a research intern with the Seattle Science Foundation in the process of applying to medical school. He was born in Palo Alto, California in a family of engineers. From as early as he could remember, his mother suffered from chronic back pain and radiculopathy after suffering a fall. Seeking to understand the circuits within us and to help others overcome their back pain, he majored in Neuroscience at the University of Washington, worked at Swedish Hospital's Neurosurgery Department, and has now applied to medical school.
