Lauren Luginsland, PhD is a postdoctoral scholar in the Department of Neurosurgery & Brain Repair at the University of South Florida's Morsani College of Medicine. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Kinesiology and Rehabilitation from Old Dominion University (2024), specializing in biomechanics, Luginsland's research centers on biomechanical gait analysis, particularly in special populations. Her academic background includes a Master’s in Exercise Science from the University of Mississippi and a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from the University of Scranton. Luginsland is an active member of the Gait and Clinical Movement Society and the American Society of Biomechanics, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Lauren has also held clinical and research roles, including as a biomechanist at Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and a summer research fellow at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.
