Dr. Roberta K. Sefcik is a neurosurgeon specializing in disorders of the brain and spine. She received her undergraduate degree at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she graduated with University Honors. With a commitment to clinical research, she obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. She also obtained her medical degree at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and she graduated with Distinction in Research. She completed residency training in neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Following her year as a Chief Resident, she completed a CAST-accredited enfolded fellowship in spine surgery. She furthered her fellowship training by completing the AO Spine North America Global Spine Diploma Program. Her research interests include clinical outcomes research in stereotactic radiosurgery and balloon-assisted kyphoplasty, as well as resident education.
