University of Illinois Peoria / OSF St Francis Medical Center, US
My name is Dr. Sven Ivankovic, MD, and I am a PGY-7 neurosurgery resident and enfolded spine fellow at the University of Illinois Peoria / OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Although I am of Croatian heritage, I grew up in Clemson, South Carolina. My undergraduate education was at Furman University in Greenville, SC where I obtained a B.S. in Neuroscience and competed in NCAA Division 1 Men's Tennis. I then attended medical school at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville. After residency I will be completing a complex/minimally invasive spine fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri under the leadership of Drs. Wilson Ray and Camilo Molina. I am interested in all aspects of spine surgery including degenerative conditions, deformity, trauma, oncology and specifically MIS techniques. I am looking forward to a long career as an academic or private practice spine surgeon.
