Neurosurgery of St Louis
Neill M. Wright, M.D., FAANS is a board-certified Neurosurgeon, fellowship trained in complex spinal Neurosurgery, and currently the Medical Director of Neurosurgery of St Louis, a preeminent private Neurosurgery group serving the greater St Louis area for the past 90 years. Prior to joining NSL, Dr. Wright was the Herbert Lourie Professor of Neurosurgery at Washington University, where he was the senior neurosurgical spine surgeon and director of the Neurosurgery Spine Fellowship. In 2020, he left the University to enter private practice to dedicate himself to the treatment of patients with cervical spine disorders in a more personalized setting. Currently, he holds a leadership role in the national cervical spine organization (Cervical Spine Research Society).
Dr. Wright focuses his practice and is passionate about helping people with cervical spine disorders. He has performed over 3000 cervical spine surgeries in his career. As part of Neurosurgery of St. Louis, he is reinventing how cervical spine disorders are evaluated and treated in the St. Louis region, with an emphasis on access to care, empathy, and expertise. His practice also includes the treatment of craniocervical/craniovertebral junction disorders, atlantoaxial instability, cervical spondylosis, cervical disc herniations, cervical myelopathy, cervical radiculopathy, cervical spondylolithesis, cervical stenosis, cervical deformity, as well as tumors of the spinal cord and spine.
