Kareem Khalifeh is a third-year medical student at the UC San Diego School of Medicine and research fellow at the Hoag Spine Institute in Newport Beach, CA. His research focuses on minimally invasive techniques in spine surgery and the use of robotics in spinal deformity surgery. Kareem earned his bachelor's degree in Human Biology at the University of Southern California and worked as an emergency department medical scribe at Marina del Rey Hospital before attending medical school. He is interested in pursuing a career in neurosurgery.
