Orthopaedic Surgery Resident

Dr. Alfonso Ocampo is a PGY-3 orthopaedic surgery resident at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Ocampo attended Stanford University for college where he graduated with honors with a degree in neurobiology. He completed his medical school training at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA in 2022 before joining Cedars Sinai for orthopaedic surgery residency.
Since his days in college, Dr. Ocampo has been actively involved in research and throughout the years has coauthored several papers in journals including Cell, Neuron, and JAAOS. Drawn to the growing technologies and evolving techniques to address complex spine pathologies, he has developed a strong interest in helping advance our understanding of the field through scholarly work.
In his free time, he enjoys inshore and offshore fishing, travelling, watching football and spending time with friends and family.
