Fezaan Kazi, BS, is a third-year medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine. As an aspiring neurosurgeon, he is deeply involved in neurosurgery research, with multiple projects represented at prestigious conferences such as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). His recent research interests include spine surgery outcomes, stereotactic techniques, and systems-based study. Fezaan has also co-authored several peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery and World Neurosurgery. Beyond his research work and studies, he serves as president of the Aerospace Medical Student Interest Group and the American Muslim Medical Student Association at his institution. He also contributes to social media initiatives for both the Neurosurgical department at IU and the Neurosurgical Atlas. In his free time, Fezaan enjoys aviation as a licensed private pilot, is an advanced skier, and expresses himself with photography. His passion for neurosurgery and innovation drives his commitment to advancing the field.
